The England manager Questions Wembley Crowd Support Following Emphatic Win Over Wales.

The England head coach voiced his sadness that the England team did not receive stronger encouragement from the Wembley fans during their decisive 3-0 friendly victory on Thursday night.

The manager was satisfied to see his squad continue their good form, with finishes from Rogers, Watkins, and Bukayo Saka inside the opening quarter deciding the match. However, he was displeased with the atmosphere at the iconic venue.

“We had limited sessions to prepare against a well-trained team and we did very well,” Tuchel commented. “It could have been five goals ahead at the break. We couldn’t score the additional ones. There was little noise. There was no any energy back from the crowd. Our team gave their all to win.”

“What more can you deliver in the first quarter? We prevented them get away. If you hear just the Welsh supporters for half an hour, it’s regrettable because the team warranted more support today.”

“I stand by my words. We cannot do more than leading 3-0 in a derby. I hoped for a greater backing in moments where it is challenging.”

“After halftime, to get behind us, there was a bit too much backing for the opposition. It might have aided us to recharge, but it is what it is and so be it.”

Squad Decisions Justified by Performance

Apart from potentially starting a fight with supporters, Tuchel also caused a stir by leaving out Bellingham and Phil Foden from his team selection. But the decision was justified by Rogers delivering another standout performance in the No 10 position and getting his first international goal.

“He plays his game,” Tuchel explained. “He is a No 10 and he is competing for his place.”

Bellamy Seeks Lessons from Defeat

Craig Bellamy expressed hope that Wales, who host a strong Belgian side in a important World Cup qualifier on next week, learn from their awful first-half display.

“That’s the reason I wanted this match,” the manager stated. “I need to see where we are. Where do we want to go? Who do we want to be? This performance gives me drive.”

Injury Concern for Striker

Watkins was withdrawn at the break after colliding with a goalpost and may miss out when the national team play Latvia in Riga in a World Cup qualifying match on next week.
