Paramount Skydance Will Remove Around 2,000 United States Roles – News
Skydance Paramount is scheduled to initiate mass layoffs the week of 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 American roles within a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.
These job cuts come after the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August valued at $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are likely, with Paramount Skydance aiming to disclose all specifics during its third quarter earnings report scheduled for November 10.
Prior news stated that Paramount was looking to cut between 2,000 to 3,000 roles by early November.
Until December 2024, the organization employed about 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 contract workers.
Paramount Skydance did not immediately respond on the matter.
