Earlier, police temporarily wound down the search, only to recommence it on recently alongside numerous defense staff.

"Spokesperson Grant Stevens said authorities were scanning a more extensive area based on new evaluations from survivability and rescue professionals, rather than any fresh leads."

Mission Difficulties

On recently, police stated that the recent hunt had not found any evidence of the child.

"The reality that the child is a small child, the terrain is particularly difficult, challenging and experiencing unpredictable climate has made the searching difficult and more difficult for those participating," police said in a announcement.

About a vast area - an area approximately two times the dimensions of Edinburgh - has now been scanned, and a specialized taskforce established recently is anticipated to carry on examining. Police have not ruled out additional searches of the property in the time ahead.

Loved Ones Reaction

Authorities recently said the child's loved ones continue to be "strong" despite the tragic circumstances.

"One can understand just how they are experiencing... without having answers as to precisely where their child is and what's transpired to him. This would be heartbreaking for every families," Commissioner Stevens said.

Via a family representative, the Lamont family has before said they are "devastated" by their son's loss.
