Helicopter Spirals Out of Control into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Coast
A chopper soaring near a well-attended southern California beach unexpectedly began spiraling wildly, eventually dropping height and smashing into a row of palm groves as spectators observed.
Recordings uploaded on the internet depict the aircraft beginning to twirl over the beach then falling near the perimeter of the shore, where it gets stuck among palm trees and a set of stairs near the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Update
Emergency responders stated five people were transported to a medical facility including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the accident on Saturday.
Three people on the street were injured. Information on their condition were still under review.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.

Authorities mentioned the aircraft was linked to an yearly “Cars with Copters” charity gathering planned for the following day.
